Keira Knightley
She was raised in London to actors Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Knightley obtained an agent at age six and initially worked in commercials and television films. In 1999, she portrayed Sabe for the role of Sabe Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Her breakthrough came when she played a tomboy footballer in the sports film Bend It Like Beckham (2002), and went on to achieve worldwide fame as Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler Fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean, beginning in 2003. In 2003, she appeared on the show Love Actually, a romance Love Actually and was called an exciting teenager. Knightley won her first Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005 for her portrayal of Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine in the classic romance Pride & Prejudice. Knightley was a part of a variety of period dramas, playing a complex love passion on the screen in Atonement (2007), tastemaker Georgiana Cavendish, in The Duchess (2008), as well as the socialite of the title from Anna Karenina (2012). In contemporary dramas she played the aspiring musician in Begin Again (2012) and a doctor as a doctor in Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit (2013). Knightley made a return to historic dramas in the role of Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game in which she was a huge success and earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In addition, she was a part of Colette, as the titular writer.
